Whats the job?

InterGroup are New Zealands Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists, delivering services in waste management, industrial and coatings and infrastructure. Reporting to the Head of Waste, This role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the New Plymouth business, taking responsibility for ensuring compliant, organised operations are delivered to our customers whilst maintaining responsibility for the PnL.. You will ensure via hands on day-to-day leadership of the teams ensuring that health, safety, environmental and quality standards are achieved and maintained. The Operations Lead will be responsible for maintaining client relationships and providing insights on future development opportunities. You will work closely with the industrial business unit, Technical team and other operating business units to ensure the utilisation of resources is maximised and efficiencies achieved.

The technical stuff youll need includes:

• Robust knowledge of contract / project management, including, planning, reporting, performance monitoring and evaluating and/or qualifications
• Knowledge and experience of good Health and Safety work practices
  Quality principles/systems would be advantageous but not necessary
• Logistical and people management experience
• Excellent planning and contract/project management and reporting skills

Skills Required

• An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people in all situations
• Sound organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple contracts/projects at any one time
• Be creative, influential and solutions-focused
• Have high professional integrity
